joseph gordon-levitt has shown, in the last few years, that men are just as sensitive and emotionally fucked up as women and that it’s okay for a dude to cry and love and be bummed out when a girl doesn’t reciprocate that love; that the nice guy is better than the fist-pumpin’ guiddo doing jager bombs at the bar. it feels like most guys get categorized as douche-bro or nice-guy. the nice guy is always thrown into the “just friends” pile because the girl can’t take their eyes off the juiced up business major being a complete dick by either stringing her along or playing childish games until she has the biggest wide-on for the guy and she has no idea why. so they fuck in some basement at a frat party and nice-guy is left heartbroken with only his smith’s records to console him. anyway, he’s stylish and hilarious and is real in interviews, you know? plus, his movies are more often than not pretty good.
